GamerScout Verdict
Only for players who forgive jank in pursuit of indie ambition; everyone else should look elsewhere.

About Deadly Profits (PC)
I went in expecting a straightforward action-RPG and found something messier. Deadly Profits aims for a crime-themed adventure with RPG progression, but the systems feel half-baked: combat is clunky, the story doesn't grip, and the world feels more like a checklist than a place to explore. Character builds exist, but there's little reason to experiment since most encounters can be brute-forced through. The game runs, it's playable, but it never finds its footing. This is the kind of low-budget indie swing that deserves respect for trying, but not much more. Fans of rough-around-the-edges action games might find a few hours of entertainment here, but there's no hook that justifies pushing past the jank. Digital Homicide's ambition shows, but ambition alone doesn't save a game that feels unfinished.
