DC's Justice League: Cosmic Chaos

I went in expecting a typical licensed superhero tie-in, and Cosmic Chaos largely delivers on that modest promise. It's a straightforward side-scrolling action game where you pick a hero (Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, and others), unlock basic combos, and smash through increasingly tougher enemy waves. The art style is bright and cartoony, which works in its favor, it doesn't try to ape the gritty DC universe and just leans into colorful superhero action. Each character has distinct attack patterns, so there's minimal incentive to switch once you find your favorite. The real problem: it's shallow. Enemies are predictable, boss patterns repeat, and the difficulty curve flatlines after the first third. There's no real depth to unlock beyond repeating the same combos, and the level variety is minimal. It's fine for kids who just want to punch bad guys as their favorite League member, or for a quick nostalgia play during a slow weekend. Anyone past that target demo will finish it in a few hours and wonder why they didn't just boot up a proper action game instead.
