The moment I locked in my accusation, picked the wrong Valkyrie, and watched the credits roll on a traitor who had been sitting three seats down in every camp scene, I understood what this game actually wants to be. It wants to be a courtroom. The interrogation system, where you grill squadmates between missions and weigh half-truths against what you saw on the field, has real teeth, and the multiple endings mean a second run reads completely differently once you know who was lying. The timeline-based combat has a decent idea buried in it too, with Riht Ordering letting you shove allies forward in the queue and chain Formation Attacks, and the weapon-transformation gimmick gives builds a bit more shape than the genre usually bothers with. Then you go back into the dungeons. Corridors repeat, encounters pad the runtime, and the XP curve quietly asks you to grind before the story will let you continue. That is the trade: a genuinely clever mystery frame wrapped around a stiff, budget-conscious crawler, and only one of those halves respects your hours. If Compile Heart's anime-visual-novel register makes you wince, nothing here converts you. If it doesn't, there is a smart little suspicion engine worth digging out.
