That is the version of this game worth talking about, and it is genuinely fine. Which makes it a little irritating that the thing on this page is not quite that game. It is a bundle wrapped around it, and bundles deserve their own audit before anyone hands over money. Quick context, then the package. Sisters VS Sisters hands the plot to Nepgear and the other Candidates while Gamindustri falls apart around them, which is a pointed role reversal for a series that usually keeps the little sisters in the background as decoration. It is an action RPG rather than turn-based, so combat is combo work and character swapping instead of menu math, and the script does the usual Neptunia balancing act where console-industry jokes sit next to a sibling story that is more earnest than the cover art suggests. It launched in January 2023 on PC and sits at Very Positive on Steam across roughly 876 reviews, with about 82 percent of them positive. That is a real endorsement, but it is an endorsement of the game, not of this edition. Now the part that actually matters. This listing does not itemize what the Deluxe half contains, and that alone should slow you down. What I can confirm is what Deluxe does not change. The feature set is identical to the standard release: single-player, Steam Achievements, full controller support, Trading Cards, Cloud saves, Family Sharing. Every one of those ships with the base version. No extra mode appears, no additional campaign, no combat system or party member unlocks because you picked the bigger box. Whatever the Deluxe portion consists of, it lives alongside the game rather than inside it, and with Idea Factory International releases that reliably means digital companion material in the art book and soundtrack mold, plus small cosmetic odds and ends. Nothing there touches your save file. So, shelf-filler or not? I will be unkind about it, because someone should. A digital art book is an archive, not content. You open it once, scroll through the character sheets, admire two pieces of concept work, and never launch it again. Cosmetic packs at least get seen during play, though in a game this stylized they mostly vanish into the noise. The soundtrack is the one component I will defend, because Neptunia OSTs are actually good and a folder of loose audio files is something you can put on while doing something else. If you are the sort of person who has a music library and uses it, that has value past week one. If you are not, you are buying a directory you will never open. The honest test is simple: think about the last game art book you were given and count how many times you actually looked at it. My read splits cleanly. Series regulars, the people who already own three or four Neptunia titles and treat each release as an artifact, will get exactly what they want here and should not overthink it. Everyone else, especially anyone sampling the series for the first time or drawn in by the shift to real-time combat, should take the standard edition and spend the difference on something with hours in it. The game is the same in both boxes. The only question is whether you collect the wrapping paper, and there is no shame in deciding you do not. Bring dragons next time, Compile Heart.
