Solid action platformer for players who want quick, tactical movement gameplay without the pretense.

About Crowborne
I spent a few hours with Crowborne expecting something forgettable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much mileage it gets out of a simple premise. You're a platformer character who can swap between three tools: a melee weapon for close combat, ranged shots for distance, and the ability to fly when you need to bypass obstacles or reach high ground. The level design is straightforward but builds nicely around these mechanics, forcing you to think tactically about when to engage, when to shoot, and when to just skip trouble by taking to the air. It's not trying to be a soul-crushing challenge or an artistic statement. Crowborne is honest design: decent pixel art, functional controls, achievements to hunt if that's your thing, and about as much content as you'd expect from an indie platformer at sub-five-dollar pricing. If you like movement-focused action games and don't need AAA production values or narrative depth, there's a solid afternoon here.
