About 1/2 Red Riding Hood
The first time a wolf lunged at me I panicked and mashed, and Red simply caught it mid-air and folded it in half. That's the pitch right there. This is a dark retelling where the girl in the hood has the strength of ten men, and the game is mostly interested in letting you feel that: short adventure stretches strung between fights, a grim storybook mood, and none of the fragile-heroine framing the original fairy tale runs on. What it does well is tone. The twisted-fairy-tale angle lands, and the power fantasy of an unstoppable Red is a genuinely fun inversion. What it doesn't do is last. It's a small singleplayer PC release from a tiny studio, light on systems, light on runtime, and the achievement list is the main reason to poke at it twice. Go in wanting a one-sitting curiosity with a nasty grin, not a campaign. On those terms it's honest about itself, which is more than a lot of bigger games manage.
