About Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden - The Wanderer Set (DLC)
Let's be clear about what this is before you click anything: the Wanderer Set is a cosmetic DLC for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the story-driven action-RPG from DON'T NOD where you play as ghost-hunter Red mac Raith and his spectral partner Antea Duarte. It does not add quests, dialogue, combat mechanics, or any narrative content. What you get are reskinned outfits for the two protagonists, giving them a weathered, road-worn traveler aesthetic that fits the colonial New England setting reasonably well. If you have not yet played the base game, stop reading this page and go look at that one first. Banishers proper is a genuinely interesting RPG that asks you to make morally weighted decisions about the living and the dead, with a combat system that toggles between Red's physical swordplay and Antea's ghost-state abilities. The writing has real teeth, the central relationship is emotionally credible, and the haunt investigations that form the core loop are mostly excellent, filler sidequests aside. The Wanderer Set exists only as a cosmetic layer on top of all that. For players who care deeply about how their characters look during cutscenes or screenshot sessions, the outfits are well-made. DON'T NOD's art team clearly understands the period and tone, and the designs do not clash with the game's visual identity. Red looks like someone who has walked too many miles through too many haunted forests, and Antea's ghost-form version of the set has a suitably ethereal quality. If you are the kind of player who runs New Game Plus partly to inhabit the world again with fresh cosmetics, this delivers on that narrow brief. That said, there is no mechanical hook here, no unlock condition, no lore note tucked inside the outfit description. It is a skin pack. The value proposition lives entirely in how much you personally weight visual customization, and only you can answer that honestly. Given that Banishers is a third-person game with a fixed camera during most combat, you will see these outfits frequently, so at least the investment is visible. Bottom line: the Wanderer Set is for dedicated fans of the base game who want a cosmetic reason to revisit Red and Antea. If you are still deciding whether to buy the main game, this page is not the one that should convince you of anything. Monika, Scout Team
