What Remains of Edith Finch
A haunting family mystery told through vignettes you uncover exploring a sprawling Washington house, where each room holds a story about why the Finches vanished.
GamerScout Verdict
A grief meditation disguised as a mystery. Best for those who value mood and handcraft over plot mechanics.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About What Remains of Edith Finch
I spent an evening moving through the Finch house room by room, and what struck me wasn't jump scares or narrative twists, but the quietness of it all. Giant Sparrow built something genuinely mournful here: a walking simulator where the exploration itself becomes meditation. You piece together a family history across decades through environmental storytelling and occasional playable sequences that let you inhabit other family members' final moments. Some vignettes are whimsical (a bathtub fantasy, a TV dinner ritual), others are crushingly sad. The pacing is deliberate, almost funeral-like, and if you rush it you'll miss the point. What Remains of Edith Finch doesn't ask much mechanically, which is the whole idea. It's a game about witnessing and sitting with grief, not solving puzzles or unlocking secrets. At roughly two hours, it knows exactly when to stop. The voice acting and ambient soundtrack create a space that feels lived-in and deeply private. If you're looking for spectacle or challenge, this isn't your game. If you want something that lingers after the credits, something handcrafted and unafraid of silence, this is essential.
