GamerScout Verdict
A quiet, painterly adventure that trusts mood over spectacle, worth three hours for anyone who values craft over length.

About The Unfinished Swan
I spent three hours wandering through Giant Sparrow's dreamlike kingdom, and it felt like moving through watercolor itself. You follow a swan through blank white spaces, splatting paint to reveal hidden paths, puzzles, and architecture that shouldn't exist. The mechanic is simple but hypnotic: each stroke dissolves the void and uncovers detail, making exploration feel like active creation rather than passive discovery. The surreal world design and muffled, introspective soundtrack pull you deeper into its melancholy logic. It's short, intentionally so, and never overstays its welcome. Pacing matters here more than challenge. There are light puzzles and a few stealth sections that feel slightly disconnected from the painterly core, but the core experience justifies them. If you loved What Remains of Edith Finch for its restraint and mood, this earlier work shows Giant Sparrow learning to let silence and small moments do the heavy lifting.
