About Wartales - Curse of Rigel (DLC)
The store page promises a new region, a new class, and some grim new systems, and this actually delivers on the label, but it needs the base Wartales to run at all. Rigel is a proper region to explore, the Thaumaturge joins your roster as a spellcasting class, and you can recruit Lycanthrope units if you're into monster crew builds. The Sanity and Madness mechanic pressures your party's mental state over long campaigns, and the Grafting and Mutation system lets you bolt questionable upgrades onto your mercenaries. Worth grabbing if you've already got a veteran Wartales company and want fresh toys for it, especially the Thaumaturge and the mutation tinkering. Skip it if you haven't touched the base game yet, since none of this means anything without that context.
