About Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Master Collection
I'm covering this bundle for completeness, even though it's showing its age. Master Collection packs the original Dawn of War (2006) alongside Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, and Soulstorm - essentially the entire pre-Company of Heroes era of Games Workshop strategy games. If you've never played these, they're lean, aggressive RTS titles focused on squad tactics and resource control rather than basebuilding complexity. Each expansion adds new factions (Tau, Necrons, Sisters of Battle) and refines the formula incrementally. The catch: these are 18+ year old games. No Steam integration, no modern netcode, and the UI will feel clunky if you're used to current RTS standards. But if you're a Warhammer 40K lore junkie or someone nostalgic for when Games Workshop strategy was about quick, brutal skirmishes rather than elaborate cinematic campaigns, this bundle delivers exactly what it promises. Metacritic's 86 score reflects the expansions' incremental quality; the core game still holds up as a tight strategy title.
