GamerScout Verdict
A rough but intriguing split between action and stealth horror, held back by uneven execution on both fronts.

About Venatrix
Venatrix banks on a clever hook: pick Matthew for third-person action-horror combat, or Della for first-person sneaking and scavenging. That's a solid foundation for a horror game that wants to shake up the usual "run or fight" binary. The problem is execution. Neither mode feels fully developed. Action sequences lack weight and feedback, while stealth sections are too forgiving to create real tension. The atmosphere exists, but the game struggles to justify why you'd care about switching between two half-finished styles rather than just picking one and sticking with it. If you're hunting for a low-budget horror gem with fresh ideas, Venatrix has the skeleton of something interesting. Just know going in that it's a rough prototype of a good concept, not a finished game. Worth a look if dual-protagonist replays appeal to you more than polished gunplay or genuine creep factor.
