Train Simulator: DB BR 152 Loco Add-On
One German electric freight loco, competent physics, and almost nothing to actually drive it on. The Mostly Negative rating is earned, not a pile-on.
GamerScout Verdict
Only worth it if you already own German routes to run it on. Buying it for new content will disappoint.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Train Simulator: DB BR 152 Loco Add-On
The store page promises a heavy-haul workhorse of German freight rail, and on the narrow question of the locomotive itself, it delivers: the BR 152 is modelled crisply, the cab reads correctly, and the traction curve behaves like something pulling real tonnage rather than a scripted rail toy. Where it stops matching the pitch is everything around the loco. You get a machine and a thin slice of scenarios, with no route bundled in, which means the value of this add-on depends entirely on how much Train Simulator content you already own and how deep you are into Workshop-sourced German lines. That is the whole calculation. If you already run German routes and want an authentic freight hauler on them, this is a reasonable slot-filler. If you are hoping it gives you somewhere new to drive, it does not, and 33 percent positive across a small review pool is a fair reflection of people discovering that after purchase. Check your route library first.
