Time Gate: Knight's Chase
A 2018 action-RPG with sub-$5 pricing that promises time-travel dungeon crawling but delivers a janky, forgettable slog through dated mechanics and paper-thin storytelling.
GamerScout Verdict
Budget dungeon crawl that wastes its time-travel premise on repetitive combat and forgettable writing. Only for completionists.

About Time Gate: Knight's Chase
Time Gate: Knight's Chase arrived in 2018 as a budget action-RPG where you supposedly play a Knight Templar hopping through time to escape a secret dungeon. In practice, it's a clunky hack-and-slash with repetitive combat encounters, stiff animations, and zero narrative momentum. The time-travel premise exists only as window dressing; there's no actual temporal mechanics or level design that leverages the concept. The build variety is non-existent, and the RPG systems amount to basic stat increases that don't meaningfully change how you play. Combat feels sluggish, enemy placement is obvious, and the writing never gives you a reason to care whether the last Templar makes it out. At sub-5 dollars, you're not losing much money, but you will lose time. Skip it unless you're completionist about obscure 2018 indie action games.
