The Park
A 2-3 hour psychological horror game where you explore an abandoned amusement park searching for your missing child. Atmospheric and story-driven, but don't expect jump scares or combat.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for horror fans who prioritize atmosphere and story over scares, but expect a slow burn that doesn't quite justify its runtime.

About The Park
I went in expecting a typical horror game and got something weirder: a walking simulator with genuine unease. The Park nails atmosphere through environmental storytelling and an unsettling narrative about what happened to the park and your kid. You're mostly exploring, reading notes, listening to audio logs, and piecing together a dark puzzle. No combat. No real threat. Just dread and slow revelation. The catch is pacing. At 2-3 hours, it outstays its welcome by about 30 minutes, and the story twist won't hit hard for everyone. Metacritic sits at 61/100, and that feels fair - it's a solid indie horror concept executed competently but not brilliantly. If you want atmospheric storytelling over scares, it's worth a shot. If you need gameplay hooks or action, skip it.
