About TAIKU MANSION
I went in expecting a typical point-and-click escape room, and that's mostly what TAIKU MANSION delivers. You're locked in, the sun's coming up, and you've got to solve environmental puzzles to get out. The hook is real: fail and you're dead. No hints, no second chances, just you versus the mansion's riddles. It's got the bare-bones vibe of early-2000s indie adventure games, which lands somewhere between charming and frustrating depending on how much you enjoy puzzle trial-and-error. The production is bare-minimum, and the puzzles don't always telegraph their logic cleanly, so you'll spend time clicking random objects hoping something sticks. If you loved old-school escape rooms and don't mind getting stuck, there's a small hit of satisfaction when things click. It's not reinventing anything, but for the price it's a no-nonsense way to spend an afternoon.
