Stronghold: Warlords
Stronghold: Warlords trades the series' castle-building focus for an RTS hybrid that doesn't quite nail either half of its pitch.
GamerScout Verdict
Ambitious but unfocused; best for Stronghold series veterans curious about the pivot, not newcomers seeking depth.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Stronghold: Warlords
I spent enough time with Warlords to see what Firefly was reaching for: a blend of castle-sim economics and real-time tactical command. You build your stronghold, manage resource chains, and direct AI warlord units across a map while siege engines crackle in the background. The concept sounds solid on paper, but the execution splits the difference without excelling at either. Castle building feels thin compared to classic Stronghold entries, and the RTS layer lacks the unit depth and reactive AI that would make skirmishes engaging. Gunpowder siege tech is a fresh angle, but it doesn't compensate for the core gameplay loop feeling fractured between two incomplete systems. The modding tools and workshop support exist, and multiplayer co-op is functional, but neither rescues the shallow campaign experience. A 65 Metacritic score reflects what you'll find: a game with ambition that lands as a half-measure. If you're chasing the original Stronghold formula, this isn't it. If you want an RTS with castle-building flavor, you've got better options.
