This pack is the answer to that, and it does need the base Stranded: Alien Dawn installed to run, since it is an add-on rather than a standalone build. What you get is a robotics layer: constructible robot workers that take over the repetitive labour tasks your survivors keep sleeping through, plus automated guardian defences to hold the perimeter during raids. Check the store listing for the exact unit and turret breakdown before you commit, because the value here depends entirely on how deep into a run you are. If you have built a mid-game base and hit the wall where four colonists cannot cover research, farming and defence at once, robots fix a real bottleneck. If you are still on your first crash site and learning the food chain, skip it. The base game's economy is tuned fine without automation, and adding it early flattens the pressure that makes the early game interesting.
