Stranded: Alien Dawn Premium Edition
The Premium tag buys a soundtrack and an artbook, not one extra survivor or biome. The colony sim underneath is genuinely strong; the upsell is a collector's decision, not a gameplay one.
GamerScout Verdict
Excellent colony sim, thin bundle: go Premium only if you actually listen to game soundtracks, otherwise standard plus Workshop mods.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Stranded: Alien Dawn Premium Edition
When I see the word Premium attached to a colony sim, I go looking for the things that change a save file: an extra biome, a fifth survivor slot, a new scenario, a harder difficulty band. Stranded: Alien Dawn's Premium package sets that expectation on the store page and then does not meet it. What you are actually buying is the standard game, mechanically identical in every respect I can measure, plus a digital soundtrack bundle and a digital artbook bundle. No extra survivors. No new biomes. No new scenarios. The tech tree is the same tech tree, the AI behaves the same way, the balance numbers are untouched. If that reads as a complaint, it is only half of one, because the game those two extras are stapled to earns its shelf space. Quick context for anyone who has not played it. You crash-land with a small group of survivors and manage them as individuals rather than as a labour pool: sleep, food, morale, injuries, and skills that improve through use, all sitting on top of a research queue that gates everything from basic shelter to power generation and automated defenses. The camera sits in third person, which sounds cosmetic and is not, because it changes how you read your own base layout and where you commit walls and turrets before the wildlife arrives. Steam sits at 84 percent positive across more than eleven thousand reviews with an 81 on Metacritic, which is not cult-following territory. That is a sim that landed for a lot of people who bounced off the harsher end of the genre, and the unusually patient tutorial is a large part of why. Single-player only, so there is no co-op schedule to plan around. So who are those two bundled files actually for. The soundtrack is the stronger half. The score runs ambient and low-key, the sort of thing that works as background while you do something else, and if you are a person who listens to game music outside the game, you will get real hours out of it. The artbook is a one-evening scroll: concept passes, environment studies, creature designs. Interesting if you care how the planet arrived at its look, completely inert if you do not. Neither file loads into a save, neither unlocks a cosmetic in-game, neither shifts a single production rate. Measured as things you use rather than things you own, the split is roughly one useful and one shelf-filler, and which is which depends entirely on your listening habits. The standard edition is the right call for most buyers, and I say that as someone who normally argues for the bigger box. Your real content pipeline here is Steam Workshop, which costs nothing and is far more generous than a PDF: new items, balance tweaks, quality-of-life fixes, scenario variations, the usual long tail that keeps a colony sim alive past the point where the base scenarios run dry. If your goal is two hundred hours in this world, mods get you there, not an artbook. Go Premium if you are already sold on the base game, you collect soundtracks as a matter of course, and you would rather settle the whole thing in one transaction. Stick with standard if you are still testing whether survivor-management sims suit you, or if your realistic plan is thirty to forty hours, one finished scenario, and a move to the next thing on the pile. One last practical note for the build-order crowd. Because nothing in this package alters the economy, the research costs, or the threat curve, every guide, wiki page, and Workshop mod written for the base game applies to you without translation. That is a small mercy in a genre where edition-specific balance changes can quietly invalidate a strategy you spent a weekend learning. And on the newcomer question: this is one of the few colony sims I would hand to someone with no prior hours in the genre, precisely because the tutorial explains its systems instead of assuming you already survived a hundred hours elsewhere. Treat this as a strong base game recommendation with an optional tip jar attached, and the box you pick stops mattering very much.
