A Paradox grand-strategy spin on Star Trek that trades galactic conquest for diplomatic knots, lean mechanics, but worth it if you want IP flavor without the Stellaris complexity.

I spent time with Star Trek: Infinite expecting another 4X empire builder, and what I got was something more focused: a stripped-down grand strategy that prioritizes story branching and faction roleplay over tech trees and planet optimization. You command one of four major powers (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, or a custom faction), manage diplomacy, research, and fleet composition across a handcrafted galaxy, and unlock narrative branches based on your choices. The mechanics are intentionally shallow compared to Stellaris or Crusader Kings, no planet micro, no specialist trade routes, which means the tutorial barrier is genuinely low. Where it falters: the AI doesn't challenge seasoned strategy players, and the economy model lacks the granularity that makes long-term planning rewarding. If you're a Trek fan who wants a narrative-driven strategy experience rather than a mechanics-heavy optimization puzzle, the licensed setting and dialogue trees do carry weight here. Solo campaign has genuine story beats; multiplayer skews toward cooperative play. It's niche, but not broken. Diego, Scout Team

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
