Sports Party

Sports Party is a collection of quick minigames designed around Joy-Con motion controls, the kind of thing you boot up when you've got a couch full of people and two hours to kill. The mechanics are straightforward: waggle controllers, tap buttons, react to on-screen prompts. It's not trying to be Mario Party or Wii Sports; it's simpler, more gimmicky, and honestly fine for what it is. The variety keeps things from getting stale fast, and the motion controls actually work without constant recalibration. The catch is that Sports Party has almost nothing to offer if you're playing alone. The whole appeal evaporates the moment your friends leave. If you're a casual player hunting for local multiplayer fodder and you've already exhausted the obvious Nintendo party games, this is worth considering. Just don't expect depth or longevity beyond that one weekend party.
