Long-range sniping sandbox with satisfying 1000m+ kills across Middle Eastern warzones. Methodical, punishing, and oddly therapeutic once it clicks.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a mission-based stealth shooter that puts you in the boots of Raven, a contract assassin working through a series of open-level assignments set across rocky Middle Eastern terrain. The core loop is simple on paper: scout the area with your binoculars, tag targets, plan your approach, take the shot. In practice it asks a lot more of you than pointing and clicking. Shots at 1000 meters and beyond require you to account for bullet drop, wind direction, and target movement. When it all lines up and a distant target drops cleanly, the feedback is genuinely excellent. The level design deserves real credit. Each map is a wide sandbox rather than a linear corridor, giving you multiple viable routes and angles for every objective. You can go loud with pistols and assault rifles, though the game clearly prefers you stay patient and quiet. The sniper rifles are the main event, and CI Games built the shooting feel around them carefully. Different rifles handle differently, scopes and attachments matter, and learning the effective range of each weapon is part of the progression. Gadgets like cameras, drones, and breach charges round out your toolkit and give you options when a direct shot is not practical. That said, the game has obvious rough edges. Enemy AI is inconsistent, sometimes impressively alert and other times almost laughably oblivious to a body two meters away. The story wrapping the campaign is thin enough that skipping every cutscene costs you nothing. Raven as a character has about as much personality as a rifle case. If you are coming for narrative, this is the wrong address. The difficulty curve can also feel uneven, with some contracts spiking hard while others feel like tutorials you already passed. Where Contracts 2 earns its "Very Positive" badge is in the moment-to-moment sniping, which is the best in the series and holds up against genre competition on the market. The maps reward revisiting with different loadouts. The Deluxe Arsenal Edition bundles extra weapons and gear which expands your options early rather than gating them behind progression, making the package a more complete experience out of the box. Solo play is the intended and clearly better-tuned mode, so do not buy this expecting co-op. This is a game for players who enjoy slow-burn tension followed by a very satisfying trigger pull. If you like methodical stealth, long-range ballistics puzzles, and sandboxes where patience pays off more than reflexes, Contracts 2 gives you a focused, well-crafted version of exactly that. The rough story and AI hiccups are real, but they stay out of the way of the thing the game is actually good at. Alex, Scout Team
