GamerScout Verdict
Best for stealth-sniper fans who care more about satisfying shots than campaign depth.

About Sniper Elite V2 Remastered
I went in expecting a dated curiosity, but V2 Remastered holds up better than I'd guessed. You play Karl Fairburne, an elite sniper tasked with surgical eliminations across war-torn Berlin. The core loop is satisfying: scout positions, line up shots, trigger the x-ray kill cam that lets you watch bullets pass through bone and organ in gruesome detail. Stealth-action works when you keep your distance; get rushed and it falls apart fast. The remaster polishes visuals and adds new maps to the multiplayer suite, which includes both competitive modes and co-op missions. Online play is functional but small-playerbase thin. Solo campaign is brief, maybe 6-8 hours if you're methodical about cover and sightlines. It's not trying to be profound, and that's fine. If you want a focused sniper-sim with cartoonish violence and no pretense, this scratches that itch.
