For Smash Up players who have drilled the base eight factions dry, this is an easy yes. For anyone who does not already own Smash Up, it is a non-starter, because Awesome Level 9000 is an expansion and will not run without the base game installed. It adds four new factions to the shuffle-building pool: Bear Cavalry, Ghosts, Killer Plants and Steampunks. Each bends the maths differently, with Steampunks stacking action recursion and Killer Plants playing a slow board-presence long game. Four extra factions sharply increases the number of viable deck pairings, which is the entire point. If you only play the odd online match, skip it.
