Every Great Person born in your capital and every specialist working there pushes science, which means you stop treating buildings as generic filler and start sequencing Library, National College and specialist slots as one long build order. You also get Sejong the Great as leader, the Hwacha and the Turtle Ship as unique units, plus a scenario built around the Imjin War. The practical read: this is for players who already own the base game and want a civ that punishes sloppy capital planning and rewards tall play.
