Ruinverse
A budget RPG with dual-personality mechanics that struggles to justify either half, strategy-lite combat paired with meandering mystery writing that rarely coalesces.

About Ruinverse
I've spent enough time with KEMCO's catalogue to know what to expect: functional but forgettable systems wrapped in a premise that sounds better than it plays. Ruinverse banks on the "two-souled heroine" angle, split personality mechanics that should drive tactical decision-making, but instead the combat devolves into standard turn-based rhythms with minimal strategic depth. The stone monument mystery frames exploration, yet pacing drags between story beats, and the mystery itself doesn't land with much payoff. What works here is accessibility. The game doesn't punish experimentation, achievements are attainable, and there's enough content to kill 15-20 hours if you're not picky about narrative coherence. But as strategy goes, this is dial-a-number territory, not decision-tree stuff. Skip unless you're mining KEMCO's entire back-catalog for completionism. Diego, Scout Team
