Riddled Corpses EX

I went in expecting another frantic bullet-hell, but Riddled Corpses EX is more deliberate than that. It's a top-down action game with RPG bones: you pick a character, level up between runs, unlock gear, and push deeper into procedural-ish levels. The dual-stick shooting feels responsive, and the pacing lets you actually think instead of just twitch. It's got co-op, which is where the game shines, splitting screen with a friend turns the slower combat rhythm into actual strategy. The rough edges show quick: visuals are serviceable but forgettable, progression can feel grindy if you're solo, and the level design doesn't vary much. This isn't a revelation in the genre. But if you want a chill, social shooter where combat rewards positioning over reflexes, and you've got someone to play it with, it scratches that itch well enough.
