About Rescue Team 4
I picked up Rescue Team 4 expecting a light management sim, and that's mostly what it is: you organize teams of specialists to respond to fires, floods, earthquakes, and other disasters across a campaign that unfolds mission by mission. The appeal sits entirely in the characters and plot. Each crew member has a personality, the dialogue lands with genuine humor, and watching the team bond through increasingly absurd scenarios carries you through the 8-10 hour campaign. The actual rescue mechanics are bare-bones. You tap objectives, watch animations resolve, collect rewards, and unlock new team members. There's no real strategy depth, no puzzle-solving, no consequence if you fail a mission beyond retrying it. It's a visual novel with gameplay window-dressing. That's fine if you're here for the story and character interactions, but if you want meaningful challenge or mechanics to engage with, this isn't it.
