Princess Kaguya: Legend of the Moon Warrior

I went in expecting a quirky Japanese-inspired brawler, and Princess Kaguya delivers exactly that premise without much else. You play as Kaguya fighting through stages with a kendama (a traditional wooden toy) and arrows to rescue your sister Sakuya. The core combat is functional but repetitive, and the game's brevity means you'll see everything it has to offer in a single sitting. What works is the specific aesthetic and weapon novelty. A kendama as your main melee tool is offbeat enough to stand out in a genre full of fists and swords. Controller support is solid, and achievements give completionists a reason to replay. What doesn't: the enemy variety is minimal, the difficulty curve is flat, and there's no real depth to the combat system or story to justify multiple playthroughs. This is a curio for genre enthusiasts or players chasing obscure indie action games, not a hidden gem waiting to be rediscovered.
