The tile matching here is tighter than the packaging suggests. Layouts are laid out cleanly, the free-tile rules read at a glance, and the countdown timer turns what could be a lazy pattern hunt into something with actual pressure. You clear a board by finding matching pairs and removing them before the clock empties, and by the later stages the stacking is dense enough that you are scanning edges and planning two removals ahead rather than clicking whatever is obvious. That is a real solitaire mahjong game underneath, not a shell. What it is for, of course, is the reveal: from the third round on, an image of a costumed model uncovers itself as tiles disappear, escalating across stages. If that hook does nothing for you, there is very little left to hold onto. Runs are short, there is no progression beyond the gallery, no difficulty settings, no daily boards, and the achievements are a formality. It is a single-player time filler with cloud saves and a punchline, and it never pretends otherwise.
