About Pound of Ground
I went in expecting a generic zombie blaster, but Pound of Ground leans hard into its B-movie charm. You're stuck in a car-based shooter fighting endless hordes with an absurd arsenal of weapons while a genuinely weird narrative unfolds around you. Boss fights break up the action, and the game doesn't take itself seriously enough to be annoying about it. The story has real surprise beats, which is more than most arcade shooters bother with. The downside: this is old code on old hardware assumptions, so performance and UI feel dated even for 2010. If you're hunting for a straightforward arcade experience with more personality than the usual Wave Defense, Pound of Ground delivers. It's niche, scrappy, and honest about what it is.
