About Paladins Sky Whale Pack
I'll be straight with you: this is a cosmetic add-on for Paladins, Hi-Rez's free-to-play hero shooter, and if you're here expecting a review of a game, you're in the wrong place. What you're actually looking at is a bundle that contains the Sky Whale Mount, 200 Crystals (Paladins' premium currency), and a single Deal of the Day Token that unlocks a personalized daily offer inside the storefront. That's the whole package. For context on what these pieces are worth: Crystals in Paladins are spent on champion skins, voice packs, emotes, and other cosmetic items. Two hundred of them is a modest amount - enough to chip toward a skin but unlikely to cover a full premium cosmetic outright depending on what you're targeting. The Deal of the Day Token is a one-time-use voucher that triggers a discounted storefront offer tailored to your account. Its value is entirely dependent on what the game decides to surface for you on the day you use it, which makes it the squishiest part of the bundle to evaluate. The Sky Whale Mount itself is the visual centrepiece. It's a fantasy-themed rideable creature used between matches and during respawn animations - it does nothing for your TTK, your card build, or your ranked climb. Paladins has a solid roster of champions across damage, flank, support, and frontline roles, and the competitive layer around card loadouts and item purchasing is legitimately interesting. But none of that is touched by this DLC. If you're a Flanker main trying to claw through Platinum lobbies, a mount skin changes exactly zero about your experience in-match. Who should consider this? Players who are already deep in Paladins, enjoy the game's champion variety and team-fight pacing, and want to put a little personality on their profile between queues. It's the kind of purchase that makes sense after a hundred hours in, not at ten. Casual players or anyone still deciding whether Paladins is worth their time should start with the free base game and spend zero dollars until the hook is set. The non-refundable status on Steam is worth flagging. This is a one-way door. If you pull the trigger and later decide you're done with Paladins, those Crystals and that token do not come back with you. Treat it accordingly. Fred, Scout Team
