About Paganitzu
I spent a few hours with Paganitzu expecting another retro platformer, but it flipped the script: this is a puzzle game where you *must* die to progress. You guide Alabama Smith through an Aztec pyramid, solving each room by figuring out how your death interacts with the environment. It's genuinely inventive, and when a puzzle clicks, it feels earned. The arcade-adventure framing keeps things snappy and weird. The catch is production values match the budget. Visuals are functional, not charming. Difficulty spikes can feel arbitrary rather than fair. It's a niche concept that won't click for everyone, but if you want to play something unambitious and strange, Paganitzu delivers exactly that.
