Turn 60 of a Chinese campaign, my walled cities finally stable, then horse archers appear from the north. The Genghis add-on plugs into Oriental Empires and does nothing on its own, so the base game is mandatory. It layers steppe-themed content onto the same tile-and-season 4X loop: new faction and unit material aimed at the northern frontier. The pack ships without a tidy feature list in the data I have, so read the store listing for the exact item breakdown before committing. If you already have forty hours in the base campaign and want the AI leaning harder on an undefended border, it fits. If you are still working out edicts and settlement growth, skip it for now.
