GamerScout Verdict
Best for casual couch multiplayer fans who don't need depth, not for fighting-game enthusiasts or anime comedy fans.

About One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows
I went in expecting Spike Chunsoft to capture the absurdist humor of One Punch Man, but this 2020 fighter plays it safer than the source material deserves. You pick a character, throw down in 1v1 or team battles, and hope the combo system carries you through. The roster pulls directly from Season 1, which is a plus if you're nostalgic, but the moment-to-moment combat feels generic - serviceable combos, no real depth or gimmick that makes anyone special. Local split-screen and online PvP are here, and if you want a low-stakes button masher with friends, it works fine. But the game never nails what makes One Punch Man fun - the contrast between overwhelming power and everyday heroics, the parody of shonen tropes. Instead, you get a fighting game that could be about anyone. It's not broken, just forgettable.
