Noir Chronicles: City of Crime

I picked this up expecting a standard hidden object game, and that's exactly what I got, which is either good or bad depending on what you want. You're Alfred Fox, a private detective untangling danger around an old flame, and most of your time is spent clicking around scenes hunting for items, solving simple puzzles, and watching dialogue play out. The noir vibe is there in name mostly, but the tone stays light and casual rather than gritty. There's no real tension or consequence despite what the Steam blurb promises, so don't expect tough moral choices or real peril. Works best if you treat it as a low-pressure point-and-click where the story is an excuse to shuffle between scenes and find stuff. Trading cards, achievements, and cloud saves are nice touches for a sub-5 title. Not a game to hunt for, but if you see it cheap and want a weekend diversion that won't demand much from you, it does what it sets out to do without pretension.
