About Neptunia Virtual Stars - Unlock All BeatTik Songs (DLC)
My honest reaction to this DLC is that it exists purely to save you the legwork of unlocking songs the slow way inside BeatTik, Neptunia Virtual Stars' in-game idol performance mode. That context matters a lot here, so let me set the stage. The base game is a mixed-reception action RPG developed by Compile Heart where Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert team up with VTuber guests to fight Content-destroying enemies across a digital dimension called Virtualand. The combat mixes third-person shooting and hack-and-slash, with each goddess handling a different weapon type: Neptune on assault rifle, Vert on sniper, Blanc with a charge weapon, Noire throwing a wide laser disc. Reviews landed all over the map, and Steam settled at around 55% positive, which tells you this is very much a franchise-fan product rather than a crossover hit. BeatTik itself is the game's standalone idol stage mode, where you dress up characters, choreograph routines, and perform songs to earn fans, rank rewards, and unlock items. Songs are ordinarily gated behind progress and the Video Battler system, which requires you to record BeatTik performances and spend that footage to unlock additional content. This DLC simply removes that gate. Activate it and every song becomes available in BeatTik immediately, no farming required. There is no new music here, no exclusive tracks, no expanded choreography. It is a skip-the-unlock-loop convenience item, full stop. Who actually wants this? Someone who genuinely enjoys the BeatTik performance side of the game and has no interest in grinding the Video Battler loop to surface the full song list. If you found the rhythm mini-game engaging enough on its own terms (and fair warning: at least one player noted it fires notes at a relentless, unvarying pace), having the complete catalogue open from the start removes friction and lets you focus on the cosmetic and performance side. If you're in the game primarily for the shooting combat or the story, this does nothing for you. The honest reality is that this DLC is the thinnest slice of add-on content imaginable: a single unlock toggle with no creative additions attached. The base game is already a tough sell to anyone outside the Neptunia faithful, and this piece of DLC has no value whatsoever if you don't own that base game and actively enjoy BeatTik. Franchise completionists who already live in this game's idol mode will find it a low-friction convenience. Everyone else should move on. Alex, Scout Team
