About Mystery of Neuschwanstein
I spent a couple hours picking through Neuschwanstein Castle as a detective investigating King Ludwig II's death, clicking hotspots and talking to suspects. It's a straightforward point-and-click adventure in the tradition of Sherlock Holmes games - find evidence, ask the right questions, piece together motives. The castle setting is atmospheric and the premise hooks you, but the puzzle design leans hard into "try every interaction" rather than clever logical leaps. Dialogue trees are thin, and the mystery itself resolves with more inevitability than surprise. If you like 90s-style adventure games and aren't expecting a mind-bending whodunit, it's a decent weekend diversion. The production is solid if unremarkable - competent writing, functional interface, no real technical friction. Just know this is comfort-food mystery solving, not the kind of game that makes you want to restart and spot the clues you missed.
