About MXGP2 (Xbox One)
I went in expecting a serious motocross simulator with official MXGP branding, bikes, and tracks. What I got was a mechanically solid racer that handles the on-track feel reasonably well but feels barebones everywhere else. The physics hit the mark for a 2016 release, and if you want to race actual FIM Motocross World Championship machines on real courses, MXGP2 delivers that core promise without pretense. The catch: career mode is thin, online options are dated, and the overall presentation screams "budget title." Single-player races feel repetitive fast, and there's little progression incentive beyond racking up wins. It's a niche pick for motocross fans who prioritize handling authenticity over career storytelling or modern online infrastructure. Casual sim racers or series newcomers will bounce off quickly.
