A 2017 puzzle-adventure about two pirate chimps that's charming but undersells its strategic depth with a thin premise.

About Monkeys Ahoy
I'll be honest: Monkeys Ahoy doesn't look like a strategy game from the marketing angle. Two young pirate chimps and a friendship smoothie quest screams puzzle-platformer, not decision-making sim. But the core loop is genuinely about resource sequencing and turn-based problem-solving. You're managing inventory, planning move sequences, and working within hard constraints to unlock paths. It's tile-based spatial puzzle design with light economic pressure. The catch: it's criminally short and aims squarely at younger players. Runs 3-4 hours tops. AI isn't complex, tutorials are hand-holdy, and there's no sandbox mode or replayability hooks. If you want branching build options or emergent systems, this isn't it. But for a couch co-op session with someone who finds Slay the Spire intimidating? It's a solid micro-investment that teaches turn-based logic without crunch. Diego, Scout Team
