Might and Magic 9
A 2002 dungeon crawler that feels stuck between old-school party combat and modern quest design, with enough charm to hook classic RPG fans but rough edges that'll test your patience.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for series fans and classic RPG collectors willing to overlook dated UI and quest design.

About Might and Magic 9
Might and Magic 9 is a first-person party-based RPG where you assemble a crew, grind through turn-based combat, and navigate a sprawling fantasy world. If you loved the series' earlier entries, you'll recognize the skeleton - stat-heavy character builds, spell variety, a world that rewards exploration. The combat itself is deliberate and tactical; positioning matters, and your party composition actually shapes how you approach encounters. Here's the catch: the game hasn't aged gracefully. Quest design is thin, the UI is cluttered, and there's a lot of aimless wandering between combat encounters. It's a museum piece for devotees of early-2000s computer RPGs, but newcomers looking for something like Baldur's Gate will be disappointed. If you're hunting obscure fantasy RPGs and have patience for clunky interfaces, it's worth a shot on GOG. Otherwise, the series' legacy lives better elsewhere.
