GamerScout Verdict
Solid fighting game mechanics hamstrung by a rocky legacy and small community; best for MvC diehards willing to look past the reputation.

About Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite landed in 2017 as the franchise's awkward middle child, stuck between beloved MvC3 and impossible fan expectations. The 2v2 tag system works well mechanically, and the Infinity Stone power-ups add genuine tactical variety to matches. The roster feels thin compared to its predecessor, though, and the game's reputation took a hit before it even shipped due to character model complaints and live-service friction. If you're hunting for a team-based fighting game that rewards neutral play and character synergy over flashy combos, there's a competent game here. The online infrastructure holds up reasonably well for PC, and the training mode will teach you what you need to know. Just understand you're buying into a niche community that never quite recovered from day-one skepticism. It's worth a shot if you love the MvC formula, but don't expect the passion that surrounded MvC3.
