Mad Max + 4 DLCs
A 2015 open-world action game that nails the post-apocalyptic car-combat fantasy, even if the story takes a backseat to vehicular destruction.
GamerScout Verdict
A solid open-world action game if you want to crush vehicles and explore a hostile wasteland; skip it if you need a meaty story.

About Mad Max + 4 DLCs
I came to Mad Max expecting a movie tie-in cash grab, and instead found a lean, focused open-world game that understands what makes its source material tick: vehicles as weapons, desert wastelands as playgrounds, and chaos as currency. The car combat is genuinely satisfying, with a progression system that encourages you to upgrade and customize your ride. Combat on foot feels secondary but functional, and the story missions hook you with recognizable characters and a plot that doesn't get in the way of the action. The bundle includes four cosmetic-focused DLCs that don't add meaningful gameplay but flesh out your arsenal and vehicle skins if you want them. What works: the driving feels weighty, the world is hostile and alive, and there's a real sense of progression. What doesn't: the open-world busywork is generic (convoy raids, scrap collecting), and the narrative never matches the energy of the setpieces. Still, if you want a pulpy, vehicle-focused action game without pretense, this delivers.
