Batman: Return to Arkham (Xbox)

Return to Arkham bundles Asylum and City, the two cornerstones of Rocksteady's Batman run, remastered for current-gen consoles. Both games hold up mechanically: the counter-heavy combat feels deliberate and weighty, the detective vision mechanics stay fresh, and the story beats still land. You're getting 80+ hours of solid superhero action if you commit to both campaigns. The catch is the remaster itself. These are upscaled versions of last-gen games, not rebuilds from scratch. Textures can look muddy, animation frames stutter occasionally, and frame rate dips happen. If you've never played the originals, this is your cheapest way in. If you have, the performance bump might not justify re-buying. For Xbox-only players or newcomers to the series, it's worth the time investment despite its rough edges.
