About LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - Asgard Pack (DLC)
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is one of those couch co-op games that basically sells itself the moment you hand a second controller to someone. The Asgard Pack is a bite-sized DLC add-on built on top of that foundation, bringing Asgardian characters and content into a game that was already stuffed with Marvel fan service. If you've been running through the base game with a friend and wanted more Norse godly nonsense to smash through, this is exactly what it sounds like. The core game itself remains the main draw here. Traveller's Tales built something genuinely enjoyable for a wide range of players, from kids figuring out the basics to adults who want to obsessively hunt every collectible and unlock every character. The Asgard Pack sits on top of that loop and extends it with thematic content tied to Thor's corner of the Marvel universe. It is not a standalone purchase, which matters - you need the base game, so keep that in mind before clicking buy. For the couch co-op crowd specifically, LEGO Marvel holds up surprisingly well. Split-screen is present, controllers are well-supported, and the chaos of two players smashing through brick-built environments together is genuinely a good time. The Asgard Pack content fits right into that rhythm. It is not going to stress-test your hardware either, so you do not need a powerhouse rig to run this smoothly on PC. A mid-range setup or even an older machine handles it fine, and Remote Play Together means you can wrangle a second player over the internet if your couch is currently empty. The honest caveat is scope. This is DLC. Small DLC. If you are coming in expecting a meaty new chapter, you will blow through it faster than you expect. It is really for the completionist or the committed Marvel fan who wants every Asgardian character ticked off the roster. The base game's 96 percent positive review score reflects the full package, not just this add-on, so temper expectations accordingly. That said, the underlying game deserves that reputation - it is accessible, funny in that brick-smashy way, and holds up even years after release. Bottom line for the four-friends-on-the-couch test: the base game passes it easily. The Asgard Pack is a nice top-up if you are already invested. Buy the full game, grab this if you are a completionist or a Thor fan, and make sure someone brings snacks because you will be there for a while. Riley, Scout Team
