KryptCrawler
A throwback dungeon crawler that trades real-time reflexes for grid-based navigation and map reading, perfect for anyone who misses the methodical pacing of Wizardry-style crawlers.
GamerScout Verdict
For retro dungeon crawler fans willing to trade graphics for that satisfying grid-based, note-taking pace.

About KryptCrawler
KryptCrawler is a first-person, grid-based dungeon crawler that leans hard into old-school design. You descend into crypts and tombs with nothing but a map and your wits, moving one square at a time, managing resources, and piecing together the layout as you go. There's no combat flash here, just the kind of deliberate, turn-by-turn exploration that rewards caution and note-taking. If you spent time with the original Wizardry, Eye of the Beholder, or Dungeon Master, you'll recognize the tempo immediately. The game's modest scope and age (2018) mean it won't win style points, but it does what it sets out to do: capture that blend of map-making discovery and resource tension. It's best suited for players who want thinking-room between encounters, not fast-twitch dungeon runs.
