Kings and Heroes
A 2016 action-RPG that swings wildly between open-world exploration and FPS combat, ambitious genre mashup that doesn't quite stick the landing.
GamerScout Verdict
For curious players who value experimental genre-blending over cohesive design, but patience required.

About Kings and Heroes
Kings and Heroes tries to do everything at once: fantasy party RPG, action combat, first-person shooting, open-world roaming. You pick from six races, customize your adventurer, and recruit party members to tackle quests in Everdale. The bones are there for something interesting, but the execution feels scattered. Genre-blending can work brilliantly when every piece serves the others; here, the FPS sections feel tacked-on, the party mechanics don't mesh cleanly with the action, and the whole thing reads like a design-by-committee experiment that lost focus somewhere between drafting and shipping. If you're hunting for something weird and different, Kings and Heroes has curiosity value. It's not polished, and it's not going to surprise you in the best way. But there's something earnest about a game that refuses to pick a lane, even if the result is a bit of a mess.
