About JEF
I picked up JEF expecting something precious and indie-quirky, and that's pretty much what I got. You play as a jellyfish drifting through hand-drawn underwater environments, solving simple puzzles and avoiding or defeating enemies with deliberate, slow-paced combat. The whole thing has the vibe of a storybook come to life, zero stress, zero timers, just you and the ocean. What works is the aesthetic and the chill pacing. What doesn't: the combat is functional but forgettable, and the puzzle design rarely pushes beyond "move block, open door." It's a game that knows what it is and commits to it fully. If you want a short, peaceful experience that doesn't demand reflexes or strategy, JEF delivers. For everyone else, it's a hard pass.
