For grid-tactics regulars who already know they want this one and would rather grab the extras in a single purchase, the Deluxe tier is a reasonable box to tick. Everyone else should walk to the standard edition, because the listing does not itemize what Deluxe adds. Nothing here names extra classes, a campaign expansion, or new maps, and on a small turn-based tactics release (Akupara Games, September 2022, PC only) an unnamed Deluxe tier is usually digital trimmings sitting on an unchanged base game. The base game is the part you actually play, and grid tactics live or die on turn order, positioning, and whether the AI punishes a sloppy flank. A soundtrack is genuinely usable if you plan turns slowly. Wallpapers and art files are shelf decoration and should not move your decision. My order of operations: buy standard, run the opening battles, and only consider the upgrade if the combat loop has hooked you.
