GamerScout Verdict
A stripped-down drifting sim for players who'd rather master one mechanic perfectly than explore ten poorly.

About Ignite
Ignite is a low-budget arcade racing game from the early 2010s that bets everything on drifting. You won't find much in the way of career mode bells and whistles here; this is about chaining slides, hitting apex angles, and racking up multiplier points. The visuals are dated and the car roster is thin, but if you're the type who can sit with a single mechanic and milk mastery out of it, there's a peculiar satisfaction in nailing a perfect line. The Metacritic score of 59 tells you Ignite didn't land with critics, and it's easy to see why: it's janky, it looks like an early Steam Early Access title, and it lacks the polish of bigger racing franchises. But it's not broken. If you've burned out on simulation racing and want something that rewards pure angle and speed feel over tire degradation spreadsheets, this is worth a shot at bargain price. Everyone else can skip it.
